Disposable diapers are the third largest source of household waste in the United States. The average baby (and there were 3,999,386 American babies born in 2010 (ii)) goes through nearly 7,000 diapers before potty training! That is 27,995,702,000 diapers on average a year…just for us. I repeat. 27,995,702,000 diapers already used from 2010 in our landfills. It’s 2017. That means on average, at least from 2010 until now there is about 195,969,914,000 diapers!
